Once you've donned the provided beekeeping visor, you'll have the opportunity to inspect a hive. Inside the honeycombs, you'll observe the worker bees, drones, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of the mother-Queen, alongside the brood, pollen, and honey, which you can taste directly from the honeycomb.

Afterwards, you will be warmly welcomed into their abode to savour honey in the traditional Cretan manner. The spread includes Cretan mountain tea, pollen, pasteli, and their homemade rakomelo, complemented by nuts, Gruyere cheese with rusks, all generously drizzled with honey. During this gathering, you will engage in discussions covering topics such as the nutritional significance of honey and pollen, the role of beehives in ecosystems for the past 110 million years, and the impact of the current economic system on the global decline of bee colonies, among many other intriguing subjects.

To conclude the visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore the workshop and gain insight into the honey extraction process. If you desire, upon departing, you can also purchase honey and pollen to take home with you.
