The Fountain in Lampiotes, Amari

The Municipality of Amari is made up of many picturesque and charming villages. A feature that adds a touch of tradition to many of these is the fountains you’ll encounter in the central spots of each settlement.

In Lampiotes, you’ll find a fountain in a lovely square shaded by trees, located behind the War Memorial in the southern part of the village. This traditional fountain has been recently renovated, retaining only a few of its original elements.

Two carved inscriptions with historical references are preserved above the canopy, along with the old stone-hewn basin, which is no longer part of the structure but remains on display in the area.
