Taverna Kavalos: Divine food with a panoramic view of Lake Kournas!

On a hill, just above Lake Kournas, you will discover Taverna Kavalos. Sit down and enjoy a unique view of the lake, where ducks and pedal boats roam!

A staple on the menu is the lamb tsigariasto, while the dishes are enriched with something different every day. You can try moussaka, imam bayildi, dolmades, and stuffed vegetables. For enthusiasts, there are lamb chops, stuffed burgers, chicken burgers, stuffed fillets, and leek sausages, a specialty of the tavern.

On weekends, you will find lamb antikristo, as well as antikristo pork belly and chicken, something worth trying!

The family produces their own milk and grows their own vegetables. The sour myzithra cheese is their own, as well as the béchamel sauce you will find in the pastitsio and moussaka.

We saved the best for last: the potatoes are slowly baked in the wood-fired oven, "just like our grandparents used to," we are told!

The taverna operates from April 1st to mid-November. During the rest of the year, it is open on weekends and holidays.
