Vamos village: Traditional Cretan cooking classes
Gastronomy tours / Cooking Lessons
35€ - 80€
ABOUT
If you have a passion for cooking or an interest in Cretan cuisine, you must join the traditional cooking classes of Ms. Koula in the small village of Vamos, in Apokoronas, Chania.
The "Fabrika," an old olive mill dating back to 1846 with Venetian arches and large millstones, invites you to spend an afternoon cooking traditional local recipes under the guidance of Mrs. Koula, a talented cook and author of a Cretan cuisine cookbook.
All dishes are prepared using pure, authentic Cretan ingredients, including olive oil, vegetables, cheese, meat, and wine. You’ll also learn valuable information about herbs, olive oil, and other ingredients, with explanations of their nutritional value and uses.
After cooking, everyone gathers around a long monastery-style table to enjoy the fruits of their labor with local wine, bread, Greek music, and delightful stories!
You’ll cook 5-6 different dishes, and written recipes are provided.
The cost is €80 for adults, €50 for teenagers (11-16), and €35 for children (5-10).
Book your spot here.
DURATION 4 hours
