Hiking from Matala to Vathy Beach

Matala requires no introduction!

The route is straightforward, offering splendid views throughout its entire course.

Starting from the beach, we ascend along the clearly marked path leading to the hippie caves, which can be visited. Nearby, we also come across the Red Sand Beach (Kokkini Ammos).

The Red Sand Beach was the sole Greek beach to be included in the list of the world's best nudist beaches by the TV channel Sky Travel.

Afterwards, we traverse some enchanting small fjords and eventually arrive at Vathy (Vathi) Beach, following a somewhat inconspicuous trail. Nevertheless, the unobstructed views along the way assist us in navigating our route.
