Voriziano Gorge
ABOUT
At the foothills of Psiloritis, near the village of Voriza, one can find a gorge with kermes oak trees (holly oak).
The initial ascent proves challenging for hikers due to its steepness. However, as they proceed, the gorge gradually widens, revealing its stunning beauty and rewarding visitors for their efforts.
This location is home to various endemic plants of Crete, including the renowned dittany.
