Arismari and Varsamo Tavern is located on the coast of Heraklion, next to the Historical Museum, and is a destination for those who want to taste traditional Cretan flavours.
In its warm environment, dominated by stone and wood, you will feel the warmth of the hospitality from the very first moment, while enjoying the authentic Cretan cuisine with homemade dishes.
What sets it apart is the rigorous selection of top quality ingredients, such as local meats and fresh vegetables.
You must try the unique Sfakian wedding "gamopilafο" (rice), made with two broths, lamb and chicken, and stakovoutyro (Cretan butter).
Also try the handmade "dolmadakia" (stuffed vine leaves), made with leaves from the owner's vineyard, and the handmade "apaki" (smoked pork), which he prepares himself!
The sommelier will be happy to help you choose the wine that best complements your meal.
At the end of your meal, you will be served raki from their own distillery, together with dessert and fruit.
*The tavern has a mobile ramp for disabled access and a high chair for children.
