Petrochori and its Famous Bell Tower
ABOUT
On the southern side of the Amari Valley, above the Platy River, at the foot of Mount Samitos, lies Petrochori, a beautiful village in the municipality of Amari.
Visitors have the chance to enjoy spectacular views of Psiloritis!
The village sits at an altitude of 400 metres, and its residents are mainly shepherds and farmers.
The village’s landmark is the bell tower of Agio Pnevma (Holy Spirit), which dominates the skyline. The small church of the Holy Apostles and the old neighbourhoods give the village its unmistakable charm.
