Helidones Prinos Forest

On the slopes of Mount Psiloritis, in a location of breathtaking natural beauty, you’ll find a forest dominated by holm oaks and pine trees.

As you explore the area, you’ll come across the ruins of old shepherds' shelters, remnants of a time when the land was used for grazing.

Before entering the forest from the west, make a stop at Ochra Spring—the view of the Assomathianos Plain is simply stunning!

The Helidones Prinos Forest lies on the western foothills near the Korakias Plateau and is not accessible by car. It is a route mostly taken by hikers making their way up from Fourfouras.
