The Chania Carnival in Souda is back this year, more vibrant than ever, with a variety of activities! The countdown has begun for the Carnival's official launch on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and the grand carnival parade on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Organized by the Municipality of Chania, the Region of Crete, and the Regional Unit of Chania, in collaboration with the Souda Business Association and the area's Cultural Association, this year’s theme is “Fairy Tale Heroes.”

The Carnival’s opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM, in Souda Square. The festivities will feature the arrival of King Carnival, the presentation of floats, a curated selection of carnival music by DJ Michalis Vlamakis, and, at 7:00 PM, an electrifying concert by the popular band Locomondo.
