The Municipal Committee for Gender Equality of the Municipality of Platanias and the non-profit organisation WINART, in collaboration with the Olive Tree Museum of Vatolakkos, present the photography exhibition "Creating Roots", hosted from April 1 to 7 at the Platanias Town Hall in Gerani.

This exhibition places women at the heart of the olive oil production chain, highlighting their deep connection to the land and their role in preserving tradition. At the same time, it opens up a conversation about sustainability, focusing on the balance between nature and human activity. The exhibition bridges traditional and contemporary elements, linking art with our cultural heritage.

The partnership with the Olive Tree Museum in Vatolakkos adds another layer, connecting the photographic narrative to the rich history and cultural importance of the olive tree in Crete.
