At "Melo Loukoumades" in the Mastabas area of Heraklion, you can indulge in authentic oriental-style loukoumades made with a traditional recipe from Asia Minor.
This small shop with just a few tables is famous for its incredibly delicious loukoumades!
Try them warm and crispy, drizzled with honey, chocolate, topped with xinomizithra cheese, or with a cheesecake flavor. You can even get them filled with cream.
In addition to the famous loukoumades, "Melo" also offers waffles, crepes, ice cream, and syrupy pastries.
