Melissanthi Women’s Cooperative
ABOUT
Agios Myronas is a large village in the Heraklion region, rich in history and local flavors. If you’re looking for a delicious stop, we highly recommend visiting the Melissanthi Women’s Cooperative, which has been operating since 2000.
With just five active members in 2025, the cooperative continues to revive authentic Cretan recipes. Try herb pies, sarikopites, cheese pies, buttery biscuits in various flavors, kalitsounia, and cakes. You'll also find a tempting selection of chocolate desserts and custom-made cakes.
After indulging in these homemade treats, wander through the village’s narrow streets, light a candle at the Church of Agios Myronas, and, of course, pick up gifts with the aroma of Crete for your loved ones.
