Chandras – Zakros: Follow the Route

This route from Chandras to Zakros follows the E4 European Path and is well-suited for climbers.

Approximately 2 kilometres to the northeast of Chandras lies the deserted village of Voila. To the east, you'll find the second, smaller plateau of Ziros.

Here, you'll find the ‘capital’ of the region, the primary village of Ziros.

As you pass through the village, which is well-marked, you'll veer off the asphalt road and follow the E4 European Path heading northeast.

Shortly, the path leads to a network of unpaved roads that take you to the abandoned settlement of Skalia.

Following Skalia, the descent becomes straightforward, leading us to Zakros.
