Located approximately 16 kilometres from the city of Chania, the renowned Stavros Beach holds special significance as it served as a filming location for scenes in the iconic movie 'Zorba the Greek'. The beach itself stretches in an almost circular shape, embraced by rocky formations, and features a small port at one end. It is essentially divided into two sections by an old quarry. With its sandy shores and protection from strong winds, the beach offers a captivating sea that enchants visitors. One of the distinguishing features of the beach is the prominent rock across from the port, adding to its unique charm. In recent years, Stavros Beach has witnessed a notable increase in visitors, drawing people from far and wide to experience its allure.
