Starting from the picturesque village of Kontopoula Keramion in Chania, you will embark on a one-of-a-kind journey, discovering all there is to know about Crete on a memorable excursion!
The experience begins with a tour of the olive mill run by Panagiotis and Antonis Marinakis, where visitors learn about the olive oil production process and taste different varieties. Next, at Nikos Pontikakis’ farm, you’ll witness traditional hand-milking, watch fresh cheese being made, and learn about animal care. The tour continues at the Nikolioudakis family winery, where a guided tour and video presentation explain the winemaking process. Depending on the season, you may also see the grape harvest and processing up close. The visit concludes with a tasting of wines and spirits.
Finally, at Nikos Xirakis’ taverna, you will enjoy traditional delicacies, desserts, and local spirits, experiencing the true essence of Cretan hospitality.
