Exploring Creta: Amazing Sunset Trail Running

Starting from the western side of the Old Harbour, the path takes you through picturesque alleyways and seaside trails, offering a calm yet invigorating run.

As you head towards the Halepa neighbourhood, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the blend of historic architecture and natural beauty that makes this part of Chania so unique.

The route continues uphill, leading you on a steady ascent towards the Venizelos Tombs, where you’ll pause to take in both the historical significance of the site and the panoramic views over the surrounding area.

From there, the trail moves towards the summit of Agios Matthaios, where the highlight of the run awaits: the breathtaking sunset.
