The Sitia Ecomuseum was inaugurated in December 2024. Its mission is to showcase, promote, and preserve olive oil—a product inextricably linked to the region’s history.
The museum is located next to an olive grove featuring over 30 varieties of olive trees, offering visitors the chance to explore and learn about a wide range of species up close.
A visit here will reveal why people say, "Sitia is the city of olive oil"!
