School Life Museum of the Municipality of Chania

The School Life Museum of the Municipality of Chania is a cultural institution that blends education with entertainment. Tailored to all age groups, the museum organises various activities that cater to a wide range of needs and interests.

The School Life Museum originated from the suggestion and initiative of two dedicated educators, Maria Drakaki and Demetrios Kartsakis, in 1998. Although its inception occurred in that year, it officially welcomed the public in 2006, thanks to the backing of the Prefecture of Chania and the collective efforts of the local community mobilised by the Association of Friends of the Museum. Established in 2005, this association aimed to champion the Museum's vision and mission both within Greece and internationally through voluntary initiatives.
