Cultural Association of Alatsata Building

The Cultural Association of Alatsata is situated at the Chorasani Tekke – Zadesta, Nea Alatsata, a suburb of Heraklion city, on 13 Mastrakouli Street.

The Municipality of Heraklion granted the Alatsata Cultural Association a building of great archaeological interest in 1992.

The Alatsata Cultural Association venue functions as a museum and is available for visits upon request.

It's also a hub for various activities, including traditional dance sessions, choirs for both minors and adults, workshops for knitting, pastry making, and theatrical training.

They offer photography and painting lessons, while the association maintain their own theatre group.

The venue has accommodated musical events, concerts, painting and photography exhibitions, book presentations, speeches, children's events, and Christmas gatherings.

There's also a lending library and a cloakroom housing traditional costumes.
