Anogeia: The Grylios Museum Gets a Makeover!

The construction project, titled “EXPANSION AND UPGRADE OF THE GRYLIOS MUSEUM,” is being carried out by the construction firm Creta Kat Anonymi Texniki Etaireia. According to the Municipality of Anogeia, the project is set to be completed by December 2024 and focuses on both expansion and modernization.
What’s Changing?
- A New Digital Projection Space: The ground floor will be expanded to include a state-of-the-art room dedicated to showcasing digital projections of the life and artistic legacy of Alkiviadis Skoulas, known as Grylios.
- Exterior Renovation: The museum’s façade will be aesthetically enhanced with stone cladding and fresh color tones, bringing it closer to the architectural identity of the region.
- Accessibility Improvements: New ramps at the museum entrance and restrooms will ensure accessibility for people with disabilities (PWD).
- Interior Overhaul: All exhibition spaces will undergo a complete renovation, offering visitors a refreshed and immersive experience.
