On the provincial road connecting Rethymno with Arkadi and ancient Eleutherna, near the last houses of the village of Loutra, you will find a taverna with traditional flair and flavors – The Admiral's Romance.
You can combine a meal here with a visit to the historic Arkadi Monastery or the significant site of Eleutherna. Nearby, Platanias and Adelianos Kampos attract many visitors every summer.
At the taverna, you can savor dishes like “antikristo” lamb, pork belly, and traditional local dishes such as snails "boubouristi." There are vegan options like vlita with zucchini or fried zucchini. Whatever you choose, you can enjoy it with an unobstructed view of the sea, Adelianos Kampos, and the olive groves. If you sit on the veranda of the Romance, you'll be surrounded by mulberry trees!
