Prassano Gorge
ABOUT
In the southern part of Rethymno, under the imposing presence of Mount Psiloritis, lies a beautiful natural gorge.
This gorge was formed by the erosion caused by the river’s water. It’s a 45-minute drive from Rethymno, heading towards the Amari Valley.
The gorge is accessible during the summer months and until early autumn, as it is filled with water for most of the year.
