Nektaria’s Kitchen: Local wine tasting and Cretan cooking lessons

ABOUT

Crete’s connection to viticulture stretches back to ancient times. The island’s climate and the unique characteristics of its various wine-growing regions contribute to its distinctive wine identity.

During this wine-tasting session, you will sample six different wines from Cretan vineyards: three whites, two rosés, and one red. Cretan winemakers are continually improving cultivation and vinification techniques, producing wines of exceptional quality.

After the tasting, you’ll participate in a short cooking seminar featuring recipes that highlight olive oil and wine. The experience culminates in a delicious meal.

Ms. Nektaria will guide you through the secrets of Cretan cuisine, teaching you step by step how to prepare traditional dishes. At the end of the class, participants will receive a certificate for completing the Cretan Cooking course.

Workshops are available for groups of 4–8 participants (Private Classes) or 9–25 participants (Workshop Class).

  • Children aged 6–14 can join at half price for all menus.
  • Children under 6 participate for free.
