The Goulés tavern, located in Goudeliana, welcomes those who want to dive into the true tastes of Crete. In a charming, rustic setting with simple decor and the ambiance of a village square, you’ll find long-forgotten recipes from grandma’s kitchen, rediscovered spices, and aromas that awaken the senses. After researching and balancing traditional techniques with modern dietary preferences, the tavern’s menu was crafted based on the “little of everything” and “whatever you find” approach of old Cretan households.
Some ingredients may not always be available, but the coals are always burning, and the warm hospitality of the Cretans is a constant! Owner Mr. Kostas carefully selects fresh, local ingredients and pure extra virgin olive oil, offering diners a taste experience that feels as if a friend is hosting you.
