Mylonas (Milonas) Gorge: Discover the Impressive Waterfall!
ABOUT
Located in the community of Agios Ioannis in Ierapetra, the trail ends near Kakia Skala Beach, between the villages of Koutsounari and Ferma. There are two paths leading to the waterfall.
The easy path takes just 20 minutes, with a well-maintained concrete trail and clear signs guiding the way. The more challenging path, however, can take up to 2 hours, requiring you to cross the river and, in some places, even climb rocks. On the right side of the trail, you'll find the easy path, making it simple to switch routes if necessary.
At the end, you’ll reach the stunning 40-meter Mylonas waterfalls. The best time to hike this gorge is in winter or early spring when the water flow is abundant, creating a magical scene.

The tip of Local!
If you opt for the harder route, it’s best to avoid the rainy season, as the path can become dangerous during heavy rainfall.
