Kalyviani: A Quaint Traditional Village Overlooking Antikythera

Kalyviani is a quaint, traditional village located approximately 8 kilometres from Kissamos.
The cafés in the village square form a truly picturesque scene, and the village boasts numerous high-quality tavernas.
From Kalyviani, you can drive to the spot where the path to Balos Beach begins. The village is just a few kilometres away from the Balos Lagoon, a destination frequented by thousands of tourists each year who come to marvel at its unique beauty.
The ruins of the Roman city of Agnion, along with a temple dedicated to the god Apollo are to be found north of Balos and on the eastern side of Cape Vouxa.
The two islands of Gramvousa can be seen northwest of Balos, and when the atmosphere is clear, Antikythera also becomes visible.
