The museum showcases many objects and tools used by earlier generations during the period of Ottoman rule and until 1960.
Visitors are presented with a comprehensive portrayal of an authentic Cretan house, complete with furniture and everyday objects. Visiting the folklore museum of Palekastro is a great way to learn about the region's history and experience the way people used to live in the past. This traditional Cretan house provides an ideal opportunity to acquaint oneself with the past and the people of the region.
The Museum is open from May through the end of October.
