The Kissamitiko Carnival has become a cultural and creative institution, with the Municipality of Kissamos enriching it year after year. The participation of groups, spontaneity, and volunteer spirit are what make this event bigger and better each time.
Once again, local schools, parent associations, cultural organizations, and even groups from outside the municipality will take part.
The Grand Parade will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM on Skalidi Street, featuring 16 carnival groups!
The parade promises spectacular costumes and performances:
🦊 Wolves and foxes alongside Little Red Riding Hoods
🌸 The flower children "acting like the Chinese" while munching on lollipops and chips
🍺 Groups marching with beer and wine barrels
🏴☠️ Pirates, 🎭 Pharaoh and Cleopatra, 🚦 students taking on the role of street signs with emojis—all dancing in the rhythm of carnival!
