ABOUT

This route along the E4 European Path begins in the village of Armeni and concludes in Eleftherna, covering a total distance of 33 kilometres. It is typically completed over the course of two days.

1st route: Armeni - Mirthios 9 km

The route, which descends downhill and is perfect for cycling, takes you through the villages of Oros and Goudeliana before reaching the village of Mirthios. While accommodation is available along the route, it is typically accessible only during the summer months, following the seasonal pattern observed on most of the E4 path.

Adjacent to the village, you can explore the Kotsifos (Kotsifou) Gorge, and within the mountainous regions of the broader area, you'll discover the remnants of ancient towers.

2nd route: Mirthios-Eleftherna 25 km

This route follows a descending asphalt road, and after approximately 7 kilometres, you'll arrive at the Potami Dam.

The view from the adjacent taverna next to the dam is truly exceptional.

Subsequently, the road ascends, and via a footpath, leads to the summit of the mountain at the location of the telephone masts.
