Vrysses, Apokoronas: Chania's New Village

Water is certainly abundant in this relatively new village of the Municipality of Apokoronas.

Vrysses is nestled at the base of the White Mountains (Madares) at an altitude of 62 metres. Situated 16 kilometres east of Chania, it marks the crossroads of the Chania-Rethymno-Heraklion motorway and the provincial road leading to Sfakia.
Three rivers flow through the village: The Boutakas River, Vrysianos River and Farmakera River.
In addition to the rivers, the village is crossed by the following streams: Rotaki, The Stream of Karydi, Anavretis Stream, The River of the Spring.
