At Creta Maris, you can join a fascinating farm-to-table tour and follow the journey of food ingredients from the field to your plate. Alongside the farmers, you’ll observe the cultivation of herbs, vegetables, fruits, and nuts, all of which are used in the hotel’s bars and restaurants. Through its “Sustainable Supplies” initiative, the hotel links raw material production with quality, sustainable consumption, and gastronomy.

Explore the EU-certified Organic Farm and discover the local mint that will flavor your mojito or the organic fruits and vegetables featured in your dinner at the “Pithos” restaurant. Restaurant menus are designed around the farm’s seasonal production, while the gardens adapt to the kitchen’s needs, creating a harmonious farm-to-table experience.

Vineyard

Take a stroll through Creta Maris’s organic vineyard, cultivated under the “Sustainable Hotel Farming” initiative. Here, you’ll find some of Crete’s most renowned local wine varieties, from whites like Malvasia di Candia, Moschato Spinas, Vidiano, Vilana, Dafni, Athiri, and Pilato to reds like Kotsifali, Liatiko, and Mandilari.

If you visit in August, during the harvest season, you’ll have the chance to participate in authentic Cretan grape-harvesting rituals. These include collecting grapes in the vineyard and transferring them to the winepress, where the juice is extracted to begin the winemaking process.
