On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the Agios Nikolaos Mountaineering Club invites you to join an enchanting hike along the slopes of Tsivi, located on the northeastern side of Mount Dikti.

The Route

The club members describe the trail as follows:
"We’ll begin from Pano Tapes and follow a dirt road for 2 km before joining a footpath that connected the village to Mesa Lasithi for approximately 3 km. At the Halasa spring, we’ll take the path to our left leading to the Rizoma spring. From there, we’ll descend to discover a hidden natural basin nestled between two trees. The journey continues downhill through a small gorge, eventually bringing us back to our starting point."

Key Details

• Departure: 8:00 AM from Karamanli Street 24 (outside the AB supermarket) in Agios Nikolaos. Transportation to the starting point will be by private car. Please contribute €5 to the driver.
• Distance: Approximately 10 km
• Duration: 5 hours, including necessary breaks
• Elevation Gain: 750 m
• Difficulty Level: 1+ (suitable for relatively fit hikers)
