A general strike and rallies will take place in many parts of Crete on Friday, February 28.

This marks two years since the tragic accident in which a collision between two trains in Tempi resulted in the death of 57 people and injuries to several passengers.

Shops will remain closed, and many restaurants will not operate.

The gatherings are also expected to affect bus routes.
