On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the Mountaineering Club of Agios Nikolaos is organizing an easy circular hike on the northeastern side of the Katharo Plateau, offering a refreshing escape close to the city.

The route starts at Astividopo and follows an old trail, passing by abandoned farmhouses, sheepfolds, and traditional wells. The highlight of the hike is reaching the summit of Anefalakous (1,512 m), where breathtaking panoramic views of Mirabello Bay unfold before you. From there, the trail loops back via Damakas, completing the journey.

Meeting Point & Transportation

• Departure: 8:00 AM from 24 Karamanli Street, Agios Nikolaos (Vasilopoulos Supermarket parking lot).
• Transportation: By private cars (participants are kindly requested to contribute €5 to the driver).

• Difficulty level: 1 (Easy).
