Our adventure begins in Athanatoi, just a 20-minute drive from Heraklion along the Heraklion-Moires highway.

Perched on a hill, this charming village is also a gateway to many hiking trails in the area.

But for nature’s secrets, don’t miss the Kokkiadis Honey Farm, where you can participate in various activities.

Sample their exquisite homemade honey and try being a beekeeper for the day. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

When it’s time to eat, head to the traditional meze restaurant Koukounari, where we recommend trying the mouthwatering eggplant pies (melitzano-bourekakia)!

The final stop on this delightful tour through Heraklion’s countryside is the wine village of Dafnes

Explore its many wineries, sample the local wine, or simply relax with a coffee at one of the village cafés.
