Canyoning in Xerofarango

Panagia Gorge, also known as Xerofarango, is nestled near the charming village of Kalami in the broader area of Viannos Municipality, Southern Heraklion. The gorge culminates at the serene chapel of Panagia Keralimaniotissa.

This gorge is best explored through technical canyoning, featuring 13 rappels, with the highest descent reaching 16 meters. Its narrow walls, ranging from 3 to 7 meters wide, and the natural rock sculptures make it a favorite among canyoning enthusiasts.

The descent into Xerofarango is only done with certified guides, ensuring maximum safety and professionalism throughout the activity.
