The Majestic Olive Trees of Plora

ABOUT

Nestled on the northern slopes of Asterousia, at an elevation of 180 metres, lies the charming village of Plora.

Renowned for its sprawling olive groves, the village boasts an abundance of enormous olive trees, the source of its prized olive oil.

With the construction of an irrigation dam, Plora has expanded its agricultural endeavours to include the cultivation of citrus fruits.

Visitors to Plora can explore the quaint churches of Despot Christ and the Annunciation, as well as the ancient frescoed chapels of Agios Antonios, Agios Georgios Kalamiaris, and Agios Panteleimon.
