Daedalus Cave

The tale of the Minotaur, the Labyrinth, and Daedalus and Icarus is well known.

But how many people are aware that in the charming settlement of Agia Galini, within its harbour, lies the cave of Daedalus?

Legend has it that Daedalus and his son sought refuge in this cave as they were being pursued by King Minos.

The ill-fated journey began from the rocky terrain of the area, concluding with its well-known ending.

The visitor can marvel at the two statues depicting Icarus and Daedalus, ready for their fateful journey.
