Its operation oversees several decentralised units, including the Mental Health Centre, the Mental Health Centre for Children and Adults (former Medical and Pedagogical Centre), the ‘Alkionida’ Community Reintegration Residence, and the School of Nursing.

The hospital complex comprises several components, including the Unified Building Complex (comprising the main building, A,B and C Operating Theatre buildings), the Artificial Kidney Unit, the Infectious Diseases Building, the Ariadne Guest House, the Energy Building, the Former Administrative Services Building (housing part of the Archive), the Drivers' Building, the Church, the Canteen, Prefabricated Buildings housing clinics/laboratories (Dermatology, Molecular Control Centre), and Prefabricated buildings temporarily accommodating hospital functions (Morgue, Clothing Warehouse, Cleaning Office, Office of the Workers' Association).
