Walk in the "Heart" of Agios Nikolaos

The journey commences at Lake Voulismeni.

A stone pathway meanders through a pine-covered park, guiding us to the southern hill of Agios Charalambos, where a panoramic view awaits.

The stroll is effortless as we sequentially pass by the churches of Agios Georgios and Agia Irini, ultimately arriving at the charming Ammoudi Beach.

Ahead, we encounter the secluded, narrow bay of Katholiko, doubling as a petite harbour. This bay features a beach with small pebbles and sand, primarily reserved for boat mooring rather than swimming. The waters of the bay are typically murky, and caution is advised in certain areas due to the presence of sharp stones in the water.

Continuing along a dirt road with a view overlooking the town of Agios Nikolaos, we eventually arrive at Spilia, where a small passage leads us through a cave.

We can extend our route for a bit, but it leads into a private hotel area.
