Since 1986, Kroustas Tavern has become synonymous with the beloved village of Kroustas in eastern Crete. Kroustas is one of those places that captures your heart, making it impossible to visit just once in a lifetime.
It all began with Pinelopi Stavrakaki, who created a place where customers feel like they are dining at home. At Kroustas Tavern, you can savor dishes like katsiki tsigariasto (slow-cooked goat), bekri meze, dolmades, staka, and, of course, grilled meats. But be sure not to miss the handmade pasta. In addition to the traditional skioufichta, you can also try lasagna, made with a Cretan twist.
For dessert, don’t forget to ask for their famous myzithropites—you’ll be licking your fingers!
