Agios Onoufrios Beach: Tranquil Haven Shielded from the Wind

ABOUT

Agios Onoufrios stands as a charming coastal fishing village, situated merely half a kilometre from Kounoupidiana in Akrotiri. Nestled beside the village's small harbour, the compact sandy beach is now not only frequented by local fishermen but also accommodates small yachts. The bay's well-protected environment shields it from the winds, creating a safe haven for maritime activities.

As one arrives from Chania, it's the initial beach encountered on the Akrotiri peninsula.

Remnants of the illustrious history of this charming beach are the vintage cottages strewn amidst the pine-dotted landscape to the west of the bay, extending all the way to the shoreline. With its tranquil and consistently shallow waters, the beach is a haven for young children. Its excellent conditions have earned it the coveted Blue Flag designation.
