Hiking to the top of the mountain (altitude 811 m) is relatively easy.

The trail that traverses the mountain from one side to the other provides breath-taking panoramic views.

From the summit, where the church of Afentis Christos is situated, you can behold the sight of Ida (Psiloritis), the Dikti mountain range, the vineyards and olive groves of Archanes, and the city of Heraklion.

Here, you can marvel at the impressive vultures soaring through the skies in search of food and discover a plethora of native herbs and plants!

The hike is family-friendly and takes approximately 4 hours.
