First Stop: Prina

Just a 25-minute drive from Agios Nikolaos, you’ll find yourself in the southernmost part of the municipality. Here, be sure to seek out the renowned honey produced in the area—it’s something you won’t forget!

Start your stroll with a coffee at the traditional “Kalyvas” café, where you can also sample delicious herb pies and cheese pies made by Mrs. Cleanthi, the owner’s mother!

Next Stop: Meseleroi

Crossing into the Ierapetra municipality, you arrive in Meseleroi, a place cherished by hikers.

A dirt road leads you to the Monastery of Vryomeni, which is steeped in history. 

It is said that the first revolutionary actions in eastern Crete against the Ottoman Turks began here in 1821. Outside the monastery, a spring has supplied fresh water to Meseleroi since ancient times.

Exploring Vasiliki

Vasiliki has a rich history dating back to the Minoan era. 

Take a walk to the small village square, where you’ll find a charming pond filled with goldfish, offering a picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Final Destination: Pachia Ammos

Your journey concludes at Pachia Ammos, a delightful seaside village with a beautiful beach—just the perfect place to unwind after such a scenic trip! You’ll also find excellent seafood tavernas here and options for accommodation if you’d like to stay the night.
