On the provincial road from Agios Nikolaos to Sitia, approximately 22 kilometers from Sitia, you will find the beautiful village of Myrsini and the alternative tavern En Route (Kath' odon)!
It is about 10 km from the Richtis Gorge and is chosen by many hikers. Even those who have the magical Vaias their final destination do not say "no" to its dishes!
Sit comfortably in its carefully decorated, traditional space and admire the unlimited view of the Gulf of Mirabello. If you're lucky, you might even see the sun "diving" into the sea and painting the sky!
Try the "classic" Sitia xyngalo, staka with eggs, and mizithropites. For the main course, you can choose red rooster stew, lemon pork in the pot, and fried lamb. The menu does not include the same dishes every day, so ask the staff about the daily specials.
