Enagron: Cretan cuisine in its purest form

The restaurant at Enagron is perched above the gorge of the Oaxos or Mylopotamos River, within the namesake ecotourism village.

The cuisine stands out for its minimal processing of ingredients and the gentle cooking techniques, with dishes often simmered slowly in the pot. At Enagron, they preserve the essential elements of traditional Cretan cuisine, choosing ingredients from fresh, carefully selected products of the Cretan land, all cultivated without chemicals or additives. Many of these ingredients are produced on the farm, with extra virgin olive oil forming the base of all dishes.

The chefs—Stavroula, Irini, and Virginia—are local women who have been cooking and nourishing their families since childhood.

Enjoy a delicious meal under the oak trees, surrounded by nature, with a view of the gorge, the scents of the landscape, and the songs of birds in the summer. In winter, savor your meal in the cozy restaurant by the fireplace.
