Kouriton House - Margarites
ABOUT
Kouriton House or "House of Kouriton" is a stone-built mansion of 1750, just 100 meters from Margarites, the international centre of ceramics of the island and 25 km from the cosmopolitan Rethymno.
It has themed rooms with the traditional structure of a Cretan house, with traditional furniture, antiques, beds and decoration with nature's products, while the architectural morphological elements such as the clay chimneys, the kiln house and the ancient pithouses, which have been preserved, give a romantic atmosphere to the place.
Enjoy a homemade spoon dessert in the Cretan lounge and browse the botanical garden with the clay pots in the courtyard.
