Boufos Beach is located in Sisi, Lassithi, 26 kilometres west of Agios Nikolaos.
Sisi (Sissi) is situated in a fertile plain adorned with olive groves. It is a serene, traditional fishing village characterised by picturesque narrow streets and a natural harbour.
Boufos Beach is well-equipped with amenities, but it is susceptible to north winds. In fact, it is believed to have derived its name from the sound ‘buff’ created when the waves hit the nearby caves.
