Agios Isidoros at Cape Sidero

Nestled at Cape Sidero, within the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Sitia, lies the Church of Agios Isidoros belonging to the Holy Stavropegic Monastery of Toplou.
Due to its location within the confines of the Kyriamadi naval base in Sitia, the church does not typically admit worshippers.
However, on 4th February, the feast day of St Isidore of Pelusium, the church throws open its doors to celebrate.
On this occasion, it welcomes a throng of devotees journeying from across Crete. It's a day that prompts many to embark on excursions specifically for this purpose.
